Real
Life Practice Classes
Please note these classes are seasonal and
are usually held from May through October.
What
are Real Life Practice Classes?
Real
Life Classes are Private Training in a group setting!
During
these group sessions, each student will work on issues particular to their
dog. For example while some dogs and owners will be working on obedience commands,
others students may be working on socialization, manners or agility.
Real Life Classes are practice classes designed to help you practice, perfect and maintain your dogs manners and obedience. Real Life Classes focus on training real dogs in real situations.
Using
gentle, motivational techniques, owners practice working with their dogs on
and off-leash for commands/cues like:
SIT
DOWN
STAY
COME
OFF
MANAGED LEASH WALKING
CARPET/PLACE
LEAVE IT
& MORE
In addition, agility obstacles, trick training and even some advanced skills are used in building the confidence of both owner and canine.
Because Real Life Classes offer students the opportunity to come at their convenience and practice at their own pace, each Real Life Class may have different dogs and owners, encouraging a more "real life" training situation. Further, these classes are designed to focus on the goal of consistent off-leash behavior. Additional equipment may be required at the discretion of the instructor.
